Our Story

Nottingham Climate Assembly, formed in June 2020, exists to promote a democratic approach to Nottingham’s future well-being.  Our aim is for everyone in the city to be involved in responding to the climate crisis we all face.   

We are proud of our city as a national leader in responding to the climate emergency, and we support Nottingham Council’s aspiration to be carbon neutral by 2028.

Equality, inclusion and diversity are our core values and new members are always welcome. We work with local schools, colleges, universities, and other organisations, and collaborate with climate-focused groups locally and across the U.K.  

Nottingham Climate Assembly’s work depends on individual donations and grants from sources such as the National Lottery.
