Youth Panel
Nottingham Climate Assembly’s youth panel, made up of 16 - 25 year olds, was set up in March 2022 to help deliver Nottingham’s first Citizens’ Assembly.
Taking place in July 2022 across a residential weekend at the University of Nottingham, the youth panel helped inform the design of the assembly, selected the themes and activities, and worked with collaborators on the assembly sessions as well as on the outreach programme.
Continuing with their involvement in driving the climate change agenda, the youth panel have been heavily involved in designing, outreach, planning and delivery of the 5-day, October 2023, Nottingham Climate Assembly’s ‘Youth Climate Social Action’ week in Broxtowe thanks to funding from UK Government via Broxtowe Borough Council.
What are the benefits of being a youth panellist?
Being a youth panel member not only provides career skills development, and networking opportunities but also a chance to form new friendships with like-minded individuals.
If you’re currently living in Nottinghamshire and would like to join our youth panel, we’d love to hear from you and get you involved.
