Support pledged by Nottingham City Council for a Public Climate Assembly

On Monday, 11 November 2024, at Nottingham City Council’s Full Council meeting* saw the City Council pledge their support for a city-wide Climate Assembly to be held in Nottingham.

Councillor Sam Lux, Portfolio Holder for Carbon Reduction, Leisure & Culture, proposed the Motion** which supports the work of Nottingham Green Partnership, the sponsor of this public Assembly.

Councillor Lux additionally thanked all those working to make this Assembly a reality and for their fundraising efforts, including the Crowdfunder for the assembly which officially launches on 18th November 2024..

* Full Council - refers to any formal meeting to which all elected Members are summoned to attend and is chaired by the Lord Mayor.

**A Motion is a request made by a councillor for an issue to be discussed at a council meeting and for a decision to be made.
